The NoMad Ultra event has options of a 50 mile, 50km or Team Relay Challenge all taking part on the 22th June 2024
All competitors will be required to have a intermediate level of navigation skill, to help the route is partially marked in tricky areas and for the majority following the Derby NoMad waymarked trail and others in places.
Route written instructions, maps and downloadable gpx file of the route available. Along the course there will be great support and refreshments / food at 5 checkpoints with a drop bag facility for 50 mile entrants.
All entrants should be over 20 years old and this is NOT A WALKING EVENT. (Please read our written information documents prior to entering). All finishers receive a medal and Technical T-Shirt. We also use GPS timing devices for results enabling faster results and live tracking during the event.
The NoMad50 mile Ultra follows a multi terrain circular run mainly following Derby Nomad trail around Derbyshire. Starting and finishing in Breaston, M1 Jct 25. Scenic rolling countryside with 605m climb with canal, trail, fields and some road. And the 50km route follows the start and finish sections cutting up the circular route through the centre of Derby.
The NoMad50 mile Ultra 50 mile participants have staggered starts on the hour 6am to 8am depending on estimated finish times. The time limit for the 50mile ultra is 13 hours, as a guide most runners opt for 6am unless estimated finish time for less than 10 hours, 7am for 8-10hrs and 8am for 7-9hrs. This will be reviewed closer to the event date and adjustments maybe requested at the organisers discretion.
Team Relay Challenge – Are you ready for the challenge? 6 person team on the same scenic course as the NoMad50 mile Ultra, starting at 9am. Longest leg 11 miles shortest 5.25 miles. A day of teamwork and fun to battle it out to see who is the winning team!
NoMad50k Ultra. The 32 mile is just a few short miles up from a marathon, perfect for those new to Ultras. A great scenic multi terrain circular run following the established NoMad50 mile route for the first and last sections with a scenic middle route heading through the historic city of Derby along the old Derby canal and River Derwent. This starts at 9am and finishes in Breaston with refreshments / food and great support at 3 checkpoints. With the 50 mile route on the same day, a time limit of 10 hours should be plenty.
Entry limit across the 3 events is 160 teams / participants on the course.
Event centre facilities include toilets, showers & changing facilities, food / refreshments & a very welcoming NoMad Team!
We will be enforcing the cut off times for the 50 mile event and the 50km - details on the information sheets.
The relay teams should bear in mind the 50 mile cut off times and any delays / issues will be reviewed by the organisers in line with the 50 mile cut off times and applied at the organisers discretion.

Trophy prizes for Ultra overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd and 4th with 1st, 2nd and 3rd ladies for both the 50k and 50 mile. Then Relay team overall winner trophy.
